Reaching Srinagar or Jammu (The first part of journey)
By Air: Nearest aerodrome: Srinagar, Capital of Jammu & Kashmir.
By Rail: Nearest Railway Station: Jammu, winter Capital of Jammu & Kashmir.
By Road: Jammu and Srinagar are also connected through road by buses and taxies.
Reaching the Amarnath Holy Cave
The journey from Jammu onward is by road and there are two routes:
Jammu - Pahalgam (315 km) - Holy Cave
Pahalgam - 16 km - Chandanwari - 3 km - Pissu Top - 9 km - Sheshnag - 12 km - Panchtarani - 6 km - Holy Cave
Jammu - Baltal (400km) - Holy Cave
Baltal - 2 km - Domail - 5 km - Berari Marg - 4 km - Sangam - 3 km - Holy Cave
