Hindu Leaders to Congregate at Melbourne Summit
Updated May 09, 2010

On the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya, 5112 (May 16, 2010), a Hinduism Summit or 'Hindu Dharma Sabha' will be held at the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Camberwell in Melbourne, Australia. The Hinduism Summit is being organized by the Forum for Hindu Awakening (FHA), with support from noteworthy Hindu and spiritual organizations and leaders from Australia. This Dharma Sabha or religious summit welcomes everyone interested in understanding, living and preserving Hinduism.

The Hindu Dharma Sabha aims to promote an understanding about the unique science behind Hindu concepts and practices, and provide practical guidance on living the Dharma. The Hindu Dharma Sabha aims also to unite everyone interested in Hinduism, to preserve it in the face of denigration and misconceptions rampant in today's world. The Hinduism Summit follows the success of recent similar sabhas held in the last half of 2009 by FHA in Virginia and New Jersey, USA and London, UK.

The Melbourne Hindu Dharma Sabha will commence and conclude with auspicious recitations from the Vedas and ancient Hindu scriptures. It will feature enlightening presentations by Hindu leaders, and demonstrative videos on understanding, living and preserving Hinduism, followed by a unique exhibition of posters and books on Hinduism education. The event will be webcast live on FHA website for attendance and participation from anywhere in the world.

The Melbourne Hinduism Summit has received great support from various organisations like, Mata Amritanandamayi (Ammachi ashram), Vaishnav Samaj of Australia as well as various prominent Hindu leaders in Melbourne like Pandit Abhay Awasthi who is known for his self less service. The Forum for Hindu Awakening is a non-profit, charitable organization, devoted to awaken society to the unique spiritual science underlying Hinduism, motivate people to live and preserve them, and facilitate the spiritual progress of humanity at large.
