Few years back when I went to Rishikesh, I was surprised to see the people there, how much they respect Gangaji. Some boys tried to throw stones on Ganga ,but local ladies screamed and told them not to throw stone as Gangaji would get hurt.
Incredible India!

can someone verify where exactly in hindu scriptures it says bathing or being cremated in the ganga “washes” away sins? it seems really contradictory to the laws of karma and penance that one can cleanse their sins so easily

I read the comment from Mr. Ravi. How can someone so easily got their sin washed away? It really sound so easy?

I love to go to Ganges one day. May be God chose these people to cleanse their sin, I guess. It means how so sinful we are!

I just want to do good deeds as far as I live in this world. I know we are just humans, we may make mistakes but possible try not to, we do not want collect more sin bagage in our head dont we?
