A Sweet Indian Recipe for the Winter

It's that time of the year when Hindus make 'gajak' at home. A specialty of northern India, gajak is a hard-boiled dry sweet, made of sesame seeds or 'til' as they are known in Hindi. Sesame is cooked in sugar syrup and set in thin layers and nuggets that can be stored for months.
