Did Jesus Christ come to India and die in Kashmir? Subhrajit Mitra’s The Unknown Story of the Messiah lives off the popular alternative theory that Jesus had travelled to India after crucifixion, along with Mother Mary, studied Hinduism and Buddhism, and died in Kashmir where he was entombed... GO

We are not taught to believe anything blindfoldly. We are taught to criticise. If Jesus did come to India and learned Hinduism and Budhism, it proves that he had more to learn in his life than he preached.

(4) vamsi says:

Truth has to be accepted even if its against our religious beliefs.Jesus will still remain a great inspirer of human minds even if he lived in India, learnt hinduism & buddhism, married mary magdalene and bore a child to her. There is no need of Jesus to be thought as a supreme power to enlighten the mankind,Buddha has done the same and he is believed to be a human. And the idea that christianity is inspired from Buddhism doesnt make christianity inferior. All the people who are hiding the truth should give a thought to it and let the world know what actually happened.

My English teacher in my school days also told that Jesus Christ came to Kashmir to learn yoga. My English teacher was an expert in literature.
But the irony is that most of the Indian converted Christians do not believe this. Perhaps they think coming of Jesus in India is a matter of disrespect to Jesus.
Jesus Christ was a devine person and we respect Him.

(9) Ramdas says:

A lot of truths of early Christianity have been buried by the religious politics of the church. I believe Jesus traveled to India in search of truth as that is the gift India has to offer. The important thing, however, is not a belief that cannot be based on proof, but how we live our life as a reflection of Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or some other path in life. These religions point towards a way of life based on service, love, and giving to those who have none. What if we put these acts before belief?

(10) Kailas says:

All these speculations are mute. The person “Jesus” never actually existed. There were four great teachers who lived in the Jerusalem/Palestine area circa 0 BC. Their lives and teachings coalesced into a single literary figure in the Bible, much of which was thrown out in the Council of Nicea 325bc The Bible as we have it today is a highly redacted document, comprised of what remained after a number of text were voted to be heretical at that council.

That said, the principles of devotion, charity, forgiveness and love protrayed by the character Jesus in the literature are certainly laudable values common to all religions. And we should respect all Christians for their faith and practice of these valeus.

I just think that Hindus need not make such a big deal about all these “cross over connections” with Christianity. Most of it is pure speculation. And the “hunger” to find connections is as much a result of the colonized mind wanting to make it seem like Hindu philosophy is on “par” with Christian theology.

That very dialectic, has indeed impacted on Indian Vaishnava theology, where the original meaning of “Avatar” simple meant “to come down” but slowly, and primarily thru the polemic with Christianity, the figures of Krishna and other Vaishnavaite Avatars were launched into the status of Divine Singularities, which was never the case in pre-Christian Hindu view of Avatars (there was many great souls who reincarnated to help and teach mankind and were referred by the term avatar in early Indian Literature.) Since Christianity had a “singular Divine Personality.” Vaishnavaites wanted one too, and slowly the dialect of Vaishnavism shifted to become the extreme kind of dualism that it is today. And, indeed is on parallel with Christianity. But this is all a post 1600ce phenomenon and has nothing whatsoever to do with the mythical travels of a saint from the mid-east to India.

We all know Jesus is God and is loved and revered by billions of people. Whether he came to India or not is unknown. but if he did that’s wonderful and means God visited the land of Hindus. (12) Bernard says:

From my knowledge, Jesus went to India during the lost years of his life, there were a number years in Jesus’ life where there is nothing recorded about him. Scholars say he went to India to learn meditation, to help him while on cross. It is also said that he was able to disassociate his body from the senses and did not feel the suffering. Makes sense to me. After staying in India, he went back to the Middle East and meet up with his crucifixtion. I was taught since Jesus was Divine, he knew exactly what was going to happen to him. He was divine and human at the same time. Every person can achieve that state. Isn’t that complete Enlightenment? The Self Realization Fellowship has published a book on the Lost Years of Jesus. I haven’t read it but I have read some of their other books and they are quite good. Swami Yogananda was a very wise man.

1)jesus christ came to india
2)roamed all over the great india
3)became well profissional in yoga and related techniqs like “yoga nidhra”,and “samadhi sthithi”etc.
4)observed the india culture and relations and non violence etc
5)returned back to his country
6)after reaching his country , he told about indian culture and non violence to thier people.
7)so,because he is punished by the manegement
8)when he punished by them like, hitting some pins on his hands and stomach he applied the technique of yoganidhra which controles the hole body with, even a single breath in an hour .and which can also stops the blood which is coming out from the body
9)all of them are belived that jesus was dead, but no he in the condition of yoga, other two are really dead
10)and the dead bodies(thinking) are kept in box and covered with sand
11)some of the desciples knows about him that, he wont dead.so they opened the box on good friday.
12)jesus decided that they wont change, and to come to india
13)then he lived in india up to his death.
this is really happened.why these converted chrestiens behaving like this. you have very much lucky to born as hidhu.
one thing is clear ,we have to respect jesus alone, not christianity .if you learn yoga and spirituality and turned ur life in that way you also respectable.but you are not god.some one says jesus is the son of god ,yes i am also son of god, you are also son of god.
the word christ is derived from the word krishna, and the word yesu is derived frm eswara

I read even in his childhood at the age before 10-11 he went there and studied alot about the oriental religion and philosophy, and even after crucifixion he visited India in Puri, Nalanda, Kashi and finally settled somewhere in Kasmir near Tibbet and spent rest of his live (he lived over 100 years) like a Yogi. May be thorrow reserach and exploration through ancient history and archeology the facts can be established.

Whether christ came to india or not,Christianity came to india, and many Hindu’s NOT Knowing real nature of God and Truth, started taking christianity. After converting to Christians, they started blamming all hindu Gods. Very Knowledgable they become, and they had seen jesus christ in their life, and christ told them that they should convert remaining people(in fact the whole world) to christianity. Great all these people are seeing, and living with God. And here we are seeing for historical proofs.

(25) metatron says:

According to Professor Hassnain, who has studied this tomb, there are carved footprints on the grave stones and when closely examined, carved images of a crucifix and a rosary. The footprints of Yuz Asaf have what appear to be scars represented on both feet, if one assumes that they are crucifixion scars, then their position is consistent with the scars shown in the Turin Shroud (left foot nailed over right). Crucifixion was not practised in Asia, so it is quite possible that they were inflicted elsewhere, such as the Middle East. The tomb is called by some as “Hazrat Issa Sahib” or “Tomb of the Lord Master Jesus”. Ancient records acknowledge the existence of the tomb as long ago as 112AD. The Grand Mufti, a prominent Muslim Cleric, himself has confirmed that Hazrat Isa Sahib is indeed the tomb of Yuz Asaf!
Thus Kersten deduces that the tomb of Jesus Christ Himself is in Kashmir!

(31) Eruaran says:

The whole story of Jesus going to India was a hoax perpetrated by Nicholai (or Nicholas) Notovich.

His work seems to be taken from H.P. Blavatsky’s ‘Isis Unveiled’. In the original, the traveler with the broken leg was taken in at Mount Athos in Greece and found the text of Celsus’ True Doctrine in the monastery library. The idea that Jesus was in India was also inspired by a statement in Isis that he went to the foothills of the Himalayas.

Early promoters of this story are not reliable. Mirza Ghulam Ahmad for exampole also proclaimed himself the awaited Messiah.

No one has ever produced the documents Notovich claimed were real.

1.In the olden days priest or people sacrifice the animals to the unknown god to wash their sin in this world.but jesus came into this world as a flesh like human and sacrificed he himself for all of our sin and raised up again from the death in the 3rd day.Is any other god or humanbeing died in flesh for all of our sin?and raised up again?

2. If peple says, christianity is a foreign religion and it should not allow in India. Then all the products like Air-condition,T.V.,Mobilephone,Fridge,computer,ipod,washing mechine, Flights, etc.and most of the products are found, invented, and maded by the scientist in the foreign countries only.why India can ban all the products which i have been mentioned. Is it possible to ban?the same way its impossible to ban christianity in india.

Of course, the truth about the
missing years in Jesus’ life
cannot be historically proven
and therefore will always be
subjective for each individual
who explores it, which is the way it should be. We have no
need to prove anything about
this story. (p. 5) Since she admits there is no
historical evidence to support these
claims it seems presumptuous of her
and others to attribute to Jesus
things he neither said nor did. Surely
what Jesus really said and did is more significant than the
presentation of what these writers
want Jesus to say. The real Jesus is
preferable to the fictitious one. St Issa The Buddhist According to Notovitch, Jesus
mastered Buddhism whilst living in
Tibet. The big problem with this is
the fact that Buddhism did not reach
Tibet until the 7th century AD.
Buddhist author Christmas Humphreys states in his book
Buddhism (Penguin 1962): Before the seventh century the
sole religion of Tibet was the
Bon… Some time in the fifth
century AD a number of
Buddhist books were brought
into Tibet from India, but they seem to have been ignored, and
it was not until the reign of King
Srongstsen Gampo in the middle
of the seventh century, that
Buddhism became a force in
Tibet (pp. 190, 191). In The Elements of Buddhism John
Snelling himself a committed
Buddhist, notes: We can trace two principal
transmissions of Buddhism to
Tibet: an initial one begun
during the seventh century CE
and a second one starting
around the year 1000. (pp. 33-34) So the evidence shows that Jesus
could hardly have been a student of
Buddhism in Tibet in the first century

After reaching India, he traveled farther east to Rangoon, in Burma, where he remained for some time. He then went north to Kashmir, where he settled.

When his work was finished on earth, he dropped his body and entered Nirvikalp Samadhi permanently.

Am not a scholar/nor an atheist, but I was forced to comment or ask to all my friends above..
If you read through all the comments together, Which one of them actually show what they learn with their religion(Moral Values: Respect, Peace etc.) and ask yourself who can be right.

1) Which one actually shows what we have learned in their Religion
2) Which comments show their actual respect to other fellow beings of all religion.

Now, If we think we know our religion. Then you are false representing it. Please practice them well and set an example to all.Keep our comments in such a way so that it does not hurt anybody’s feeling.

And lets be practical and use a single word HUMAN BEING and help each other.

I agree with Ben. The Corruption of the actual Gospel of Jesus started by Paul. Vatican does have all the truth with them. I have been doing a research on this theory for the past 8 years, my studies leads me to believe that Yuza Asaf is non other the Jesus Christ himself.
My question to the Church…. whey John, Luke, Mark & Methew… when all the 12 apostle scribble what Jesus said. Peter Simon, St Thomas, Mary Magdelene’s writing are not considered ( because they are the one who i am sure must have the record of the missing years of jesus which bible is silent about). Being a follower of Vedas… i dont believe in resurrection…. Any one born on earth has to die, all our Avtar’s died.
Even Juda the so called traitor as per Bible did scribble jesus sayings.
Actual teaching of Jesus is lost i believe i the new testament.
