Now "Om"s For Your Legs!

Monday July 7, 2003
Hindus in America have expressed discontent over the use of the Hindu symbol Om or Aum as designs on socks, manufactured by the North Carolina-based company Gold Medal Hosiery. Earlier instances of insult to Hindu symbols were witnessed when images of Hindu Gods were used to decorate toilet seats and slippers. Do you think it's perfectly alright to place such symbols wherever you please? Post your comments here.
