Hindus Worship Muslim Saint
Sunday July 6, 2003
The all-Hindu village of Mundla Suleman, 25 km from the ancient holy city of Ujjain in central India,
has set an example in practicing dual religion. Hindus in this village offer prayers and puja at the mazaar of Jarjari Shah Baba, a Muslim saint, who is believed to have died 700 years ago. The village homes wear a festive look as the denizens offer sweets as bhog at the mazaar on the new moon. If you want to know more on practicing dual religion, read this article, or post your comments in the Hinduism Discussion Forum.
