                        100 Years After Vivekananda

One hundred years ago (July 4, 1902) Swami Vivekananda left his earthly body. The world today knows him as an inspiring Hindu monk, India regards him as a patriot saint, and Hindus consider him a source of spiritual power, mental energy, strength-giving and open-mindedness. Vivekananda rose to worldwide fame in 1893, when he visited America to attend the first Parliament of World Religions in Chicago. Read the transcripts of his historic opening and concluding speeches.
